La Charanga Habanera belong to the very top of Cuban music! David Calzado and his band have been the true pioneers of timba, the modern pop music of Cuba in the 1990s. They formed a triumverate together with Los Van Van (AF 2000/2006) and NG La Banda (AF 1995/2003). Truly spectacular shows have earned them worldwide fame: 5 singers in the frontline backed by outstanding Cuban musicians.
