Champeta cannot be left out of Hoogstraten’s best festival: the top names of the genre try everything to be on our stage. After Mr Black (AF 2014) and Kevin Florez (AF 2013) it is Bazurto All Stars’ turn this year: the most successful band of Cartagena, getting its inspiration from the Congolese soukous. Cartagena, as a harbour city, is open for all musical influences and in this case Congo is a big one too!
De Bazurto's produce champeta muffin, with bits of soukous, reggae, dancehall and rumba. Daydream away to the beaches of Colombia with "El Bololó".
