This is pure salsa dura from a self-willed and charismatic singer, an atypical figure in the conservative US salsa-world. Michael Stuart’s CD “Back to da Barrio” from 2006 was described by Descarga.com as “the best salsa record put out in the United States in a good long time”. We hear a harder sound, with a nice series of salsa-covers from reggaeton-classics.
